Coaching and Consultation
Many lawn/landscape services don't have the
knowledge, training, and diagnostic skills to
apply beyond turf, mulch, and leaf cleanup.
Garden coaching can help round out and improve
the aspects of your landscape which your lawn
crew does not attend to now. In addition, a
garden coach can be an asset to the builder
working on your deck, patio, or other
hardscaping, providing ideas with specific plant
suggestions to the design.
Before you decide to use our services, a
consultation is in order. An introduction to your
gardens, with a walkabout and some ideas from you
about your needs and desires, can usually be
accomplished in under an hour. If you decide to
select a service, pictures are taken, details are
taken in writing, and a quote for preliminary
work may be given.
A proposal in writing is the next step.It is
important to be clear about the expectations you
have from a professional service. If you have a
vision of what you want, it is crucial that you
introduce that to the consultation. If you don't
know where to start, and want an original point
of view, we want to make sure you are open to new
possibilities. Most people will fall in between
the two extremes, and that is why the
consultation is essential.
An attractive garden requires a certain amount of
attention. A garden coach can be a real asset,
providing a professional point of view, an
outlook on long range objectives, and an extra
pair of hands. Coaching can involve training,
producing maintenance plans, support for existing
landscape services, or working side by side with
the home gardener. A coach can help you clarify
the things you love about your garden!
